When you see our gîte Pomerol you'll fall in love with it like we did. We didn't name it after a famous wine region by accident. This beautiful 200 year old house used to be the lodging of the cellar master of Château Coulon Laurensac, a former wine producing property. Now it welcomes you to have a "grand-cru" holiday.
Pomerol (2 to 4 persons, 80 m2) [861 square foot]
Pomerol has all the right ingredients for a perfect holiday. In the living room with its beautiful exposed beams and honey colored limestone walls, you will find two sofas grouped around the former fireplace.
Kitchen
The kitchen area is spacious and has a modern and well-equipped kitchen/dining room (table, 4 chairs) with a cooker, dishwasher, etc.
Apart from a variety of pots and pans, you will find a coffee machine, water cooker, toaster, iron, and vacuum cleaner, in short, everything you might need for a comfortable vacation.
Furnishing and equipment
Pomerol has recently completely been renovated and redecorated, to welcome you with all the modern comfort. In the living room you will find a selection of English and French books and some board games. Pomerol is equipped with a telephone and a TV with DVD player. You can borrow as many of our DVD's as you like. Apart from the French television you will have a few hundred channels from all over the world available through the satellite. Among them many British and American channel like the BBC, Sky news, CNN, etc.
The house is situated to offer you lots of privacy. The garden of Pomerol (almost half the size of a football field) has a gazebo and garden furniture.
Bedrooms
Upstairs you'll find the two bedrooms. One with a double bed (Box-spring: 1.60x2.00 m) [5.5 foot by 6.6 foot] and one room with two (large) single beds.
On the same floor you'll find a luxury bathroom with a jacuzzi bath, two washbasins and a WC.
The gite is non-smoking, and sorry, no pets allowed.
Swimming pool
A large (6 by 12m) [807 square foot] swimming pool with two roman steps, stunningly set at the south side of the château offers refreshing moments on sunny summer days. For the safety of children on the site, the pool area is fenced and gated and equipped with an alarm system, in accordance with the French government regulations.
