You will love both spacious self catering gîtes Margaux and Sauternes The gites are situated next to the château in the former ‘chai à barriques', where the wine used to age in oak casks. We didn't name them after a famous wine region by accident. It's here were years ago the wine production of Château Coulon Laurensac used to age. Now it has been transformed into two beautiful gîtes to welcome you with all the modern comfort. Of course the traditional qualities of the building have been respected such as exposed beams and exposed stone walls.

Margaux (2 persons, 60 m2 ) [646 square foot]
The deluxe gîte "Margaux" has all the right ingredients for a perfect holiday. You will love its beautiful exposed beams and honey colored limestone walls. Margaux is a contemporary furnished and spacious L-shaped gîte on the ground floor with a fully equipped kitchen and an en suite bedroom.
There is a double bed (box spring, 1.60 x 2.00m) [5.5 foot by 6.6 foot].
Margaux offers a large deluxe bathroom with a bath (Jacuzzi), separate shower, WC and double washbasins.
Margaux overlooks the park with the château and has its own terrace with garden furniture and parasol.
Furnishing and equipment
In the living room area you will find two sofas. There you will find a selection of French and English books, a TV. Margaux has a modern well-equipped kitchen/dining room (table, four chairs) with a cooker, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, etc.
Apart from a variety of pots and pans, you will find a coffee machine, water cooker, toaster, iron, and vacuum cleaner, in short, everything you might need for a comfortable vacation.
Margaux is equipped with a telephone and a TV with DVD player. You can borrow as many of our DVD's as you like. Apart from the French television you will have a few hundred channels from all over the world available through the satellite. Among them many British and American channel like the BBC, Sky news, CNN, etc.
The gite is non-smoking, and sorry, no pets allowed.

Swimming pool
A large (6 by 12m) [807 square foot] swimming pool with two roman steps, stunningly set at the south side of the château offers refreshing moments on sunny summer days. For the safety of children on the site, the pool area is fenced and gated and equipped with an alarm system, in accordance with the French government regulations.

Sauternes (2 to 3 persons, 50 m2 ) [646 square foot]
The deluxe gîte "Sauternes" has all the right ingredients for a perfect vacation. This spacious gîte on the ground floor is furnished with beautiful antique furniture. You will find two comfortable leather sofa's grouped around the former fireplace. Of course there is a fully equipped kitchen and a separate bedroom.
Sauternes has a modern well-equipped kitchen/dining room (table, three chairs) with a cooker, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, etc.
Apart from a variety of pots and pans, you will find a coffee machine, water cooker, toaster, iron, and vacuum cleaner, in short, everything you might need for a comfortable vacation.
Sauternes is equipped with a telephone and a TV with DVD player. You can borrow as many of our DVD's as you like.

Sauternes overlooks the park and has its own garden (almost half the size of a football field) and terrace with garden furniture and parasol.
