This charming cottage is situated next to the château in the former barrel hall. This beautiful 200 year old building has been completely renovated in order to welcome you. We didn't name this delightful holiday home after a famous wine region by accident. It's in here that in days gone by, the wine production of Château Coulon Laurensac used to age. Now it is a beautiful holiday gîte in order to welcome you with all the modern comfort. We kept the traditional style of the building such as beautiful exposed beams and honey-colored stone walls.
Margaux (2 persons, 60 m2 ) [646 square feet]
The comfortable gîte "Margaux" has all the right ingredients for a perfect holiday. This stylish intimate cottage is finished to a high standard with lots of home from home comforts. You will love its beautiful exposed beams and honey-colored limestone walls. The attractive holiday home is furnished in a contemporary style. This spacious ground floor L-shaped gîte, comes with a fully fitted and equipped kitchen and an en-suite bedroom with a double bed.
Complementary high speed Internet access and a TV (flatscreen, 32 inch) with DVD player are all at your disposal to make for a comfortable stay. If we are at home, you can come and borrow as many DVDs as you like. In addition to the French television there is a wide selection of satellite channels. Among them many British and American channels like BBC, Sky news, CNN, etc. A stereo set with iPod or iPhone docking station with CD player and radio complete the technical equipment of your accommodation.
Margaux overlooks the park, the château and boasts a lovely terrace with garden furniture and parasol.
Furnishing and equipment
The living room area has two sofas. The kitchen/dining room is modern and well-equipped (table, four chairs). There is a cooker, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, etc. As well as bowls and pans, there is a coffee machine, kettle, toaster, iron and vacuum cleaner, in short, everything you need for a comfortable stay.
There is a central laundry room with a washing machine and a tumble-dryer you can use at no extra charge.
Bedding and bathroom
Margaux has a double bed (box spring, 1.60 x 2.00m) [5.5 feet by 6.6 feet]. When you arrive at the Château, the bed is already made. The beds are provided with duvets. Bed linen and towels are included. (Please bring your own beach or pool towels).
This inviting vacation house has a large deluxe bathroom with a jacuzzi bath, separate shower, WC and double washbasins (see picture).
The gite is non-smoking, and sorry, no pets are allowed.
Swimming pool
You can enjoy moments of leisure or take a dip in our large heated swimming pool (6 by 12m) [807 square feet]. The pool, which has two roman steps, is stunningly set at the south side of the château. The pool is heated from early May until the end of October.
